Your Role

As a Sales Representative for the Mpumalanga region, you will be responsible for promoting, selling, and supporting Atlas Copco's full range of compressed air and gas equipment solutions. The role focuses on developing new business, managing existing customer relationships, and delivering sustainable sales growth while upholding Atlas Copco's high standards of quality, ethics, and customer satisfaction.

Sales & Business Development
  • Promote and sell Atlas Copco compressed air and gas equipment, including compressors, dryers, blowers, gas generators, air treatment, and associated services.
  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within assigned territories and target industries.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business and long term partnerships.
  • Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals tailored to customer needs.
  • Stay informed on emerging market trends, new product releases.
Digital Marketing
  • Strong understanding of digital channels that support sales growth and increase market visibility.
  • Ability to increase market awareness through targeted digital engagement.
  • Experience generating and nurturing qualified leads and online campaigns via online platforms.
  • Comfortable using social media and digital tools.
Customer Engagement
  • Conduct site visits to understand customer applications, challenges, and operational requirements.
  • Provide professional product demonstrations and technical presentations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by recommending optimal solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and energy performance.
Planning & Reporting
  • Achieve agreed sales targets, margins, and strategic objectives.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, market intelligence reports, and regular activity updates for management.
Collaboration & Compliance
  • Work closely with internal teams such as service, engineering, and finance to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Adhere to Atlas Copco's safety standards, ethical guidelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Stay up to date with product developments, market trends, and competitor activities.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (mechanical or electrical background).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in technical or industrial sales, preferably within compressed air, gas, or industrial equipment markets.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain complex equipment solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Customer focused mindset with strong problem solving abilities.
  • Self motivated, results driven, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
  • Valid driver's license.
