Sales Engineer - General Industry
Job Description
As a Sales Engineer - General Industry, your mission is to drive sustainable growth and market leadership across South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa by delivering innovative sales solutions, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding strategic market presence in the Industrial Segment. You will report to the General Manager of Industrial Technical Business Area.
Responsibilities- Execute sales strategy and market penetration within rail and automation requirements of other segments in South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa.
- Understand the operations of each market segment.
- Achieve or exceed the annual sales target allocated for South Africa and specific countries within Sub Saharan Africa.
- Drive strategic market development for all sales channels to increase market share and profitability throughout the Energy Segment.
- Appoint, develop, and monitor progress of distribution partners.
- Realize the full sales process necessary to obtain the order, directly or in cooperation with partners.
- Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with customers through communication channels.
- Use CRM system daily for customer data, visits, comments, quotes, etc.
- Participate in seminars, exhibitions, and other marketing activities.
- Ensure optimal and efficient territory coverage.
- Coach and train distribution partners.
- Contribute to development of business plans and sales strategy to achieve targets.
- University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- Fluency in English.
- Good organizational, planning, and follow up skills.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial sales experience; experience in the Energy Segment is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of General Industry markets.
- Experience with assembly tools and fastening (advantage).
- Microsoft Office competence.
- Experience working with CRM tools.
- Valid driver's license.

This role requires you to work on site at our office in Jet Park, Boksburg, South Africa (ZA).
