Reporting Bookkeeper

Raizcorp

Job Description

We are looking for a Reporting Bookkeeper who is accurate, organised and confident working with multiple sets of books, but who also understands that this role is about people as much as numbers.

In this role, you will work directly with entrepreneurs on Raizcorp programmes, helping them keep their financial records up to date and understandable. Your work will support both the entrepreneur and the business guides who rely on accurate financial information to coach businesses effectively. This means your bookkeeping must be meticulous, dependable and of a consistently high standard.

Just as importantly, you will need to build trust. Many entrepreneurs feel uncertain or overwhelmed when dealing with their financial information, so we are looking for someone who can communicate clearly, create comfort, and build professional working relationships that encourage openness and compliance.

What you will do
  • Manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of entrepreneur businesses across Raizcorp programmes
  • Capture and process source documents accurately and timeously
  • Maintain debtors, creditors, cashbook and general ledger functions
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and related reports
  • Produce VAT reports for VAT-registered businesses
  • Follow up on outstanding bookkeeping information and documentation
  • Review financial information carefully before submission to internal stakeholders
  • Work closely with business guides, whose coaching depends on the quality of the financial reporting
  • Support entrepreneurs with bookkeeping requirements, explaining what is needed in a practical and approachable way
  • Use Sage One Cloud Accounting and related internal systems effectively
  • Contribute to strong quality, compliance and reporting standards across the function
  • From time to time, provide practical financial observations or basic insights that help entrepreneurs better understand their businesses
What we are looking for
  • At least 3 years' bookkeeping experience working across multiple companies or sets of books
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in finance or bookkeeping
  • Experience on Sage One Cloud Accounting
  • Strong Excel skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience preparing and reviewing management accounts
  • Strong attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy
  • Good planning and follow-through in a deadline-driven environment
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people
  • The confidence to hold firm on process and quality requirements, while still being supportive and respectful
  • A calm, service-oriented approach and the emotional maturity to build trust with entrepreneurs
Why this role matters

This is not a bookkeeping role that sits in the background. The quality of your work helps entrepreneurs understand their businesses better, and it gives Raizcorp's guides a sound financial base from which to coach. Your ability to combine technical discipline with empathy and professionalism will make a real difference.

If you are a bookkeeper who enjoys both the discipline of getting the numbers right and the human side of helping business owners feel supported, we would like to hear from you.
