Job Description
Registered Nurse - MICU Section A - Life Cosmos Hospital, Mpumalanga. Reporting to Unit Manager Ella Masimula. Responsible for delivering quality patient care in line with clinical protocols and hospital objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Effective cost management for staff and stock: evaluate employee labour hours, manage debit and credit hours, minimise unnecessary stock wastage and facilitate equipment maintenance.
- Provide quality patient care: enable staff micro orientation, conduct daily care rounds, investigate complaints, provide accurate information to patients and families, assist doctors with daily cases and procedures.
- Effective risk management (SHEQ & infection control): monitor and implement preventative measures, maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards, comply with ISO requirements.
- Conduct relationships with internal and external stakeholders: identify doctor's preferences and stakeholder needs, implement them in the working environment.
- Relevant Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
- At least 2 years of ICU experience (essential).
- ICU qualification (essential).
- Current registration with the relevant professional or regulatory body.
- Understanding of the private healthcare industry is an advantage.
