Regional Operations Manager
Job Description
Are you an experienced Operations Leader with a strong background in manufacturing and plant management?
A well-established automotive manufacturing environment is looking for a Regional Operations Manager to oversee and optimise the day-to-day operations of a production region within the facility.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational efficiency, production performance, quality standards, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

WHAT YOU WILL DO Operational & Plant Management- Oversee the full manufacturing process to ensure production targets and customer demand are met
- Ensure raw material availability and adequate finished goods levels
- Drive operational efficiency and cost optimisation across all production processes
- Manage and optimise inventory levels to support production requirements
- Lead plant projects, process improvements, and equipment implementations
- Lead, mentor and develop production and operations teams
- Drive a performance-focused culture with clear KPIs and accountability
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development initiatives
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and defect-free production
- Work closely with Quality teams to resolve and prevent quality issues
- Support compliance with IATF16949 and other quality management systems
- Drive initiatives to reduce scrap, rework and improve product quality
- Promote a strong culture of safety across the plant
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
- Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions where necessary
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Implement and maintain strong 5S practices and operational excellence frameworks
- Lead cost reduction and productivity improvement projects
- Collaborate with senior leadership on operational strategy and planning
- Support capacity planning and long term operational development
- Manage operational budgets and identify cost saving opportunities
- Prepare operational performance reports for executive management
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and HR teams
- Support cross functional initiatives to improve overall plant performance
- Communicate with suppliers and stakeholders to resolve operational challenges
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering or related technical field
- Minimum 8 years' experience in an operations or manufacturing leadership role
- Automotive OEM Manufacturing Experience
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems and plant operations
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
- Understanding of quality systems, production metrics and performance management
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making ability
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
