JOB SUMMARY

Parliament of South Africa is seeking talented professionals that would be responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of public education and participation programmes to enable and support meaningful public involvement in the parliamentary programmes and to develop active citizenry. In addition, be responsible for the supervision of team members and to lead in the implementation of various public education and participation programmes.

Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Public education and participation programmes and initiatives.
  • Public education and participation content and material development.
  • Planning and implementation of public education and participation initiatives.
  • Monitoring and evaluation.
  • Staff supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree in communication / education / political studies / public administration / social development / Community Development or related qualification at NQF 7 and 5 years relevant experience in public participation, education / community education & training and curriculum design and development.
  • Code B Driving Licence.
You must also demonstrate knowledge and experience in:
  • Excellent workshop facilitation and training delivery.
  • Research and analysis skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Excellent Computer and Digital Literacy skills (MS365 suite, AI & Digital Learning platforms etc.).
  • Knowledge of the use of social media platforms for training delivery and public education.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of curriculum development and design methodologies.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the administrative, executive and legislative processes at Parliament.
  • Knowledge and understanding of sensitivities within a political environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the prevailing socio-political issues in South Africa.
