Professional Indemnity Solicitor - Manchester (Leeds also considered)

BCL Legal is working with a leading national law firm that is looking to recruit into its Professional Liability team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing practice, ranked Tier 2 in the Legal 500, with a reputation for handling high-value, complex professional indemnity and insurance disputes.

The Role

- Join a small, specialist Professional Liability team that sits within a wider, highly regarded Civil Litigation department.
- Handle a broad mix of professional indemnity, public liability, property damage and management liability (D&O) claims, including policy coverage issues.
- Manage your own caseload of smaller matters while assisting partners on large, multi-million-pound disputes.
- Act for clients across diverse sectors including construction, accountancy, technology, healthcare, and not-for-profit organisations.
- Exposure to subrogated recovery work and instructions from major insurers, with genuine prospects for growth.

Candidate Profile

- 1-5 PQE solicitor with experience in professional indemnity, property damage or wider insurance litigation (defendant background preferred).
- Strong track record of advising insurers on coverage issues.
- Comfortable handling your own caseload under supervision.
- Excellent client care skills and the ability to balance commercial and legal considerations.
- Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
