The Product Managers role is to provide clear direction and oversee the creative process within a specialist team to deliver high-quality products, meet run the bank objectives and agreed goals that supports the business strategy. Ensure alignment with key focus areas by managing workflows, guiding team deliverables, and maintaining standards throughout the development cycle. Are you someone who can: Support the delivery of the business strategy by directing product specialist capacity and workbooks towards initiatives that supports the main core focus areas and business KPOs. Identify opportunities for improvement, automation, digitisation, and customer experience enhancements and work closely with enablers to design or optimise features. Conduct market and competitor benchmarking to inform product design and strategic positioning. This includes jurisdictional benchmarking between South Africa, Guernsey, the UK and broader Africa to ensure FNBCI remains competitive in the regions where approved to conduct banking. Oversee the go-to-market strategy prior to product launch, this includes - overseeing UAT results, ensuring operational readiness, change management, and go live activities. Deliver and maintain product governance artefacts - business cases, product rules, business risk assessments, one and done assessment and nimbus processes within the product domain. Provide clear communication to senior stakeholders regarding product performance, risks, and delivery status. Establish and maintain effective business procedures and process flows that efficiently reduce operational risk, costs and hand-offs that ultimately leads to customer service of a high quality. Furthermore, address findings identified through internal or external audits, business self-disclosures and risk functions. Ensure SLAs with service providers are adhered to, drive remediation where gaps exist and timeously escalate breaches on service standards to accountable business owner. Ensure product incidents and complaints related to product design flaws or product failures are resolved promptly and root cause addressed. Alignment and management of target and budget goals whilst ensuring effective control of costs through efficient product design. Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders - project managers, solution architects, business analyst, senior staff members, LRC and SMEs. Maintenance of expert knowledge on relevant industry best practices, internal policies and product rules to enable provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders. Deliver an exceptional client experience by informing user journeys that exceeds customers and stakeholders' expectations You will be an ideal candidate if you: Bachelors degree or higher or related qualification. A minimum of 3 years working experience in similar role, offshore banking experience advantageous. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Customer centric problem solving with bias for simplification. Ability to balance commercial outcomes with regulatory and risk requirements. Structured approach to decision-making, prioritisation, and delivery management.
