The Plant Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of a large scale wind farm facility. As the designated GMR2.1 appointment, you will oversee the operational outcomes of both the wind turbines and the balance of plant. You will lead a multidisciplinary site team to ensure the facility is technically, commercially, and environmentally optimised.
Operations & Maintenance- Operational Planning: Manage the scheduling of all maintenance tasks, facility management functions, and deferred maintenance while considering resource requirements.
- Performance Optimization: Execute Asset Management Plans to reduce downtime, maintain OEM standards, and drive site specific performance improvement projects.
- Asset Care: Responsible for plant availability according to contract and the scheduling of repairs for faulty components or rotables under warranty.
- Monitoring: Execute performance monitoring and trending analysis to trigger necessary corrective actions.

- Leadership: Promote and lead a proactive HSE culture and habits across the plant.
- Compliance: Ensure full implementation and compliance with corporate and local HSE standards, systems, and practices.
- Accountability: Take full responsibility for HSE outcomes and safety incidents on site.
- Line Management: Oversee all plant based personnel, including performance management, coaching, and workforce planning.
- Culture: Create a conducive working environment that promotes psychological safety, team morale, and an agile culture.
- Development: Support career development, talent retention, and coordinate training for plant personnel.
- Budgeting: Manage the plant's Annual Operating Plan (AOP), including the day to day budget, overtime, and spares.
- Approvals: Provide first level approval for site related expenses and verify consumable costs.
- Contractors: Manage service providers at an operational level, ensuring they meet performance standards and contractual commitments.
- KPI Reporting: Provide monthly analytical reports regarding schedule attainment, breakdowns, spares movement, and HSE incidents.
- Data Integrity: Ensure all maintenance activities and asset data are correctly recorded in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Inventory: Purchase and control stock levels for spares and tools, utilising 5S principles.
- Required: National Diploma, B.Tech, or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
- Required: Must include 6 mechanical subjects and a GCC (Government Certificate of Competency) for Factories.
- Renewable Energy: Proven knowledge of wind farm systems and operations.
- Electrical Systems: Experience in switching LV and MV systems, and working knowledge of power system protection (up to 33 kV).
- Plant Systems: Exposure to SCADA, HV/MV power systems, and transformers.
- Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with ERP/CMMS systems.
- Leadership: Ideally 2+ years of supervisory experience with strong delegation and prioritisation skills.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to prepare complex management reports.
- Compliance: Deep knowledge of the OHS Act and a strong safety record.
- Mobility: Valid Code B driver's license and willingness to travel regularly, including overnight stays.
