Technical & Industry Knowledge
  • Understanding of civil construction processes (earthworks, concrete, drainage, roads, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with construction codes and regulations
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and equipment
  • Contractual knowledge
Project Coordination & Administration
  • Document control (RFI, transmittals, drawings, site instructions)
  • Schedule tracking and updating Gantt charts or look-ahead programs
  • Procurement coordination (materials, subcontractors, plant)
  • Progress reporting (site diaries, daily/weekly reports)
  • Permit and compliance tracking
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
  • Liaising with engineers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and clients
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to keep stakeholders informed and aligned
Organizational & Problem-Solving Skills
  • Managing multiple tasks under pressure
  • Detail-oriented with good follow-up
  • Quick problem identification and resolution
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
Software & Digital Tools
  • MS Office (especially Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
  • Document control systems
Site Awareness & Safety
  • Basic understanding of construction site safety
  • Ability to recognize and report hazards
  • Familiarity with site logistics and workflows
  • Recognize delays on site
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in construction management, civil engineering, or similar
Contractual Knowledge
  • Understanding of different types of construction contracts (lump sum, re-measurable, etc.)
  • Familiarity with contract administration (scope, variations, claims, extensions of time)
  • Awareness of key clauses (payment terms, dispute resolution, deliverables)
  • Ability to assist in compiling evidence for claims or variations
  • Coordination with commercial and legal teams when required
