Imperium Commodity Search is working with a reputable trading house in South Africa as they continue to grow their commercial footprint. Built on a foundation of strong values and long term relationships, they are seeking seasoned professionals to strengthen their existing product offerings (grains, feed, coal, metals & minerals, nuts, proteins).

• Actively driving PnL and capitalise on physical back to back trading opportunities.
• Keeping track of local and regional market trends, including pricing, supply demand dynamics, to influence trading decisions and provide commentary to senior management.
• Negotiating sales contracts, securing optimal terms that align with the company's profitability goals.
• Leveraging expertise of South African market dynamics to identify profitable trading opportunities.
• Analysing market data and providing insights to support decision making in pricing, purchasing, and sales strategies.
• Ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.

• 3-5+ Years' Experience in a trading or sales position with physical commodities.
• Strong experience in the trading of commodities, with a strong understanding of market dynamics.
• High level negotiation and communication skills, with a track record of successful contract negotiations.
• Proficiency in using market analysis tools, and an ability to translate insights into trading strategies.
• A well developed network and contacts within your expert field.
• Proficiency in multiple languages is advantageous.
