Position Overview:
The Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, management, and optimisation of the Group's enterprise network and infrastructure environment. The organisation operates a standardised network architecture based on Ubiquiti UniFi technologies across all branches and offices. This role will oversee the group wide LAN, WAN, SD WAN connectivity, wireless networks, firewalls, and core infrastructure services. The engineer will ensure high availability, security, and performance of the company's network infrastructure and will play a key role in maintaining connectivity between branches, cloud platforms, data services, and business systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement and maintain the Group's network infrastructure using Ubiquiti UniFi technologies.
- Manage and maintain UniFi Controllers and centralised network management platforms.
- Support SD WAN and site to site connectivity between branches and head office.
- Manage enterprise LAN, WAN, and wireless environments across all locations.
- Deploy and maintain UniFi switches, gateways, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance, uptime, and capacity planning.
- Manage VPN connectivity including site to site and remote access.
- Implement network segmentation, VLANs, and security policies.
- Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues across multiple locations.
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, IP addressing plans, and configuration standards.
- Work with ISPs and service providers to maintain stable connectivity.
- Ensure high availability and redundancy across critical network infrastructure.
- Server infrastructure management.
- Virtualisation platforms (VMware / Hyper V).
- Storage infrastructure.
- Backup and disaster recovery systems.
- Identity services such as Active Directory.
- Core IT services including DNS, DHCP and authentication systems.

- 5-10 years hands on experience with Ubiquiti UniFi networking environments.
- Experience managing enterprise WiFi deployments using UniFi access points.
- Experience configuring UniFi gateways, firewalls, and switches.
- Experience managing multi site networks and branch connectivity.
- Strong understanding of VLANs, routing, switching, and network security.
- Experience with VPN technologies and remote connectivity.
- Knowledge of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience supporting cloud networking concepts (Azure / Google Cloud).
- Experience managing Windows Server environments and core infrastructure services.
- Ubiquiti UniFi certifications or strong practical experience.
- Cisco CCNP or equivalent networking knowledge.
- Microsoft infrastructure certifications.
- Network security certifications.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure during outages.
