Red Ember Recruitment is seeking a skilled and detail oriented Payroll Administrator to join our client's team based in Bellville.

  • Administer the monthly payroll administration from capturing input to payment for the respective portfolio.
  • Apply for South African Revenue Service tax directives.
  • Prepare monthly reports for various business partners within the company as required, including HR, Finance, payroll, and line manager.
  • Ensure accurate filing and data retention in line with Basic Conditions of Employment Act and Protection of Personal Information Act.
  • Complete UI19 forms for Unemployment Insurance Fund submissions.
  • Extract monthly variance reports on the payroll for validation.
  • Export general ledger files to the finance department within the agreed timeframe.
  • Ensure all third party payments are processed timeously within the agreed timeframe.
  • Submit funding requests to the line manager for net payment.
Requirements

Qualifications and level of experience required:

  • Minimum 3 years' completed payroll experience on a RSA-recognised payroll system.
  • Experience on Sage 300 People is advantageous.
  • Grade 12 certification is required.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace products.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities are required.
  • Inherent minimum requirements (skills and knowledge):
  • Working knowledge of payroll administration within a full monthly payroll cycle, including capturing, processing monthly payments, and monthly reporting, is essential.
  • Knowledge of relevant statutory legislation for RSA, including PAYE, UIF, ETI, SDL, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and Labour Relations Act.
  • Knowledge of basic conditions of employment.
  • Knowledge of Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, and Namibia payroll legislation is advantageous.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to deal with various parties within the organization.
  • Excellent problem solving and judgement skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Deadline driven with the ability to meet set timeframes.
  • A strong sense of integrity.
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace and all inherent Google products.
