We are looking for a qualified bookkeeper to join an established landscaping company with a famiy orientated approach, for 15 hours per week (approximately three half days). A minimum of 6 hours per week should be spent at their office, with flexible scheduling for the remaining hours.
The position is based in Westlake, Cape Town region.
In addition, the owner manages a property business that includes one Airbnb guesthouse and permanent tenants.
We are seeking someone who can manage the financial side in close cooperation with their external accountant.
Responsibilities- Bookkeeping on Sage and data capturing
- Managing banking transactions
- Monitoring cash flow
- Preparing budgets and reports

Requirements QualificationsRelevant qualification in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (e.g. Certificate/Diploma in Bookkeeping or Accounting)
Sage Accounting / proven experience using Sage is mandatory
ExperienceMinimum of 3-5 years' bookkeeping experience, preferably within a small to medium size business
Proven experience with full bookkeeping function, including data capturing and bank reconciliations
Exposure to property-related accounting (e.g. rental income, Airbnb, tenants) would be advantageous
Technical SkillsProficient in Sage Accounting
Strong understanding of banking transactions, reconciliations, and cash flow management
Ability to prepare basic budgets, management reports, and financial summaries
Competent in Microsoft Excel and general office software
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and reliability
Able to work independently while maintaining clear communication with management and accountants
Well organised with effective time management skills
Professional, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential financial information
Part time: 15 hours per week (approximately three half days)
