As an Operator Front End Loader 992, you will be responsible for acting as an alternative loading equipment for the excavators to dig, clean, remove and load overburden or manganese from the applicable bench and high wall onto haulers by means of a front end loader, leaving only a safety and catchment berm in place.

• Operate front end loaders as primary equipment for preparing drilling blocks.
• Use front end loaders as secondary equipment for loading waste or ore material, and as replacement for excavators during breakdown or maintenance to meet overburden and ore budget volumes.
• Make continuous judgment during drill block preparations regarding high wall crest and orebody inclination, ensuring correct approach angle to prevent slipping and machine damage.
• Support effective and efficient front end loader operations to unlock primary fleet productivity.
• Control the loading area, granting permission for personnel or equipment to enter, including haulers within the applicable cycle.
• Load haulers as per instruction and allocation, either overburden or ROM material.
• Inform hauler operator regarding load quality and applicable dumping allocation.
• Direct hauler operator to dump poor quality manganese as waste and stockpile good quality manganese as ore.
• Continuously construct catchment berm as per standard along the toe of the high wall.
• Continuously construct safety berm as per standard along the crest of the bench, 3 m from the edge.
• Ensure continuous compliance of the loading sequence of a hauler number of loads, placement of loads and fill factor of the hauler bowl.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience operating mobile equipment in a mining or plant environment.
• Experience with excavator skills within a surface mining operation.

• External Candidates: Grade 12.
• Internal Candidates: Grade 10.
