Job Description

The OOH Gauteng Sales Representative role is based in Gauteng and focused on assisting with execution in the OOH channel.

Stretegy
  1. Strategy: Work with the National OOH Key Account Manager to develop BOS's OOH sales strategies and lead the execution of these strategies to build brand and grow distribution points.
  2. Sales: Deliver on national volume & distribution targets.
  3. Team: You will assist in motivating BOS & distributor sales teams to maximize their individual performance and the overall performance of the business. You will help develop a culture of high-performance, a strong team spirit within the sales and marketing teams at BOS and our partners.
Sales
  1. New Distribution: Based on Monthly Kpi's Activate new outlets.
  2. Retention & Flagship outlets: Ensure that the top outlets across the region have over indexed execution. Help define what good looks like in these outlets and assist with the execution. Ensure Top Outlets are visited according to required Call Cycle KPI structure & Orders placed.
  3. Call Cycle: Ensure Total Weekly/ Monthly Call target is met.
Trade Marketing
  1. Promotions & Pricing: Check that current Promotions & Pricing are correct & Implement any OOH Promotions throughout the year.
  2. Marketing Assistance:
    1. a. Help roll out Event Executions and Sample Tastings.
    2. b. Ensure fridges are placed in key OOH outlets and ensure that they are being looked after & in the correct working order.
    3. c. Together with the marketing manager, help implement trade marketing merchandise in relevant venues in accordance with the national rollout guidelines and timing.
    4. d. Utilise the sales handheld device to confirm implementations of all POS (Promotions, Fridges, etc) and Promotions.
Trade Execution
  1. Merchandising excellence: Work with the Distributor Sales team to ensure that outlets are executed to the BOS standards and the right pack availability and cold space is achieved.
  2. Flagship outlets: Ensure that the top outlets are over indexed with execution (Increase listings & space). Help define what good looks like in these outlets and assist with the execution.
Travel

You will be expected to travel to visit customers around the country (Mainly areas around Gauteng & KZN, with occasional trip to WC to see HQ).

Stock, Storeroom, and vehicle management
  1. Ensure Storeroom is always kept organised & Stock does not expire (Keep accurate SOH and tracking).
  2. Accurate Vehicle Management by ensuring that the BOS vehicle is looked after at all times by reporting any issues via email to the Finance Manager (cc KAM and NSM) and taking the vehicle to the relevant places for assessments when needed.
  3. Efficient Driving (route planning).
Reporting and Management
  1. Utilise the sales handheld device to accurately provide feedback on all Visits & confirm implementations of all POS (Promotions, Fridges, etc) and Promotions.
  2. Timeously Clock in and Clock out in accordance to the Call Cycle Requirements as well as accurately utilise the sales handheld device to record the relevant and necessary. information (e.g. Accurately save all relevant customer details which include accurate GPS coordinates).
  3. Accurately work on Call Cycles to ensure all relevant outlets are included in most efficient routes & time management is optimised.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience

A relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field would be advantageous.

A valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle is required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and experience working with sales handheld devices or CRM systems is advantageous.

2-4 years' experience in FMCG sales, preferably within the Out-of-Home (OOH), beverage, or hospitality channel.

Demonstrated experience in developing and activating new distribution points and managing existing accounts.

Experience working with distributors and sales teams to achieve regional sales targets and execution standards.

Proven track record of achieving sales, call cycle, and distribution KPIs.

Experience with trade marketing execution, including promotions, POS implementation, merchandising, and fridge placements.

Experience engaging with restaurants, cafés, bars, hotels, and other OOH outlets.

Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build partnerships with outlet owners, managers, and distributor sales teams.

Sales-driven mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and convert them into distribution and volume growth.

Excellent planning and organisational skills to manage call cycles, outlet visits, and promotional rollouts effectively.

Strong execution focus, ensuring high merchandising standards, correct pricing, and promotional compliance.

Communication and influencing skills, with the ability to motivate partners and teams to achieve shared sales objectives.

Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to resolving operational or trade execution challenges.

High levels of accountability, energy, and self-motivation, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
