Job Description
  • Lead the strategic direction and overall operations of the organisation in South Africa.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Oversee financial performance and ensure sustainable growth within the manufacturing industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements in South Africa.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the executive team and employees.
  • Identify opportunities for business development and market expansion.
  • Report to the board on the organisation's performance and strategic initiatives.
The Successful Applicant

A successful Managing Director (MD) should have:

  • A Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Commerce or a related field is required. An MBA or equivalent post graduate qualification is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of senior management experience, with a majority of those years in a general management or Managing Director role within the manufacturing sector.
  • A proven track record of leadership with a strong focus on entrepreneurial and problem solving skills
  • Strong understanding of the South African market and regulatory environment.
  • Exceptional strategic planning and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A strong background in the manufacturing sector with proven ability of having lead and grown previous organisations in terms of profitability, sustainability and growth.
