Ensures that operating standards are maintained. Manages all aspects of hygiene and safety within the liquor storeMatric Grade 12. Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory position Previous experience in the Wine/Liquor department or experience in managing a department Merchandising Management Executes planogram (plano) guides with 100% compliance Rotates stock in accordance with company policies and SOPs on both the sales floor and in backup areas Maintains departmental merchandising and cleanliness standards throughout the day Adheres to standards set for promotional space Implements promotional communications accurately Ensures backup area standards are consistently maintained, with optimal stock representation on the sales floor Escalates ongoing stock-related issues to the Store Manager Ensures compliance with Health & Safety (H&S) standards and SOPs Understands customer needs and communicates insights to Demand Planning Systems Management Conducts gap scanning to identify out-of-stock items Identifies, counts, and records out-of-stocks and over-stocks Extracts and analyses Excel reports from SAP Communicates and addresses stock concerns by completing and submitting required Excel documentation to Demand Planning Processes Inter-Departmental Transfers (IDTs) via SAP Actions reduced-to-clear (RTC) processes on SAP in line with SOPs Regularly reviews electronic communications during the working day Customer Services Management Handles customer complaints and special requests professionally Provides product advice and guidance to customers People Management & Development Evaluates the performance of direct reports against agreed objectives and standards Reviews staffing requirements and provides input into staff scheduling Communicates new initiatives, as well as store and departmental performance updates Maintains staff motivation and engagement Identifies training and development needs Coaches team members and supports management development Finance & Administration Ensures all departmental equipment is properly maintained and operational Upholds general maintenance standards Monitors and controls departmental expenses Tracks results and investigates deviations from budget Monitors waste and ensures adherence to waste management procedures Competencies Achieves results through others Plans, organises, and follows up on activities and initiatives Adheres to standards and policies Demonstrates strong customer orientation Communicates clearly and listens actively Displays sound business acumen If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
