The role ensures the store operates to brand standards while achieving commercial, people, and operational targets. Minimum Requirements Matric / Grade: 12 (NQF Level 4 equivalent).Diploma or higher qualification - advantageous3 to 4 years' experience in retail clothing, of which 2 years must be in a supervisory or management roleComputer literate - MS Outlook, Excel, Word. MS Teams/Zoom.Must have experience with stock reporting systems (e.g. SAP).Must be able to work retail hours, including evenings and weekends and stock takes after hoursMust be able to relocate from store to store if and when need beSomeone with a flair and passion for fashion Competencies Behavioral Competencies: Good interpersonal & communication, conflict-management skillsStrong leadership, to coach, motivate and develop a team.Customer-centric mindsetResults-driven and accountableDecisive and resilient in a fast-paced environment Technical Competencies: Strong understanding of retail clothing business acumenSales analysis and commercial acumenComputer literacy with POS and stock reporting systems (e.g. SAP).Knowledge of shrinkage, loss prevention, and stock control processes.Experience in staff planning and management.Understanding of store operations, compliance, and retail audit requirements.Knowledge of stock management and VM execution.Accuracy and attention to detail Key Responsibilities Sales Growth, Promotions & Profitability Drive turnover, identify growth opportunities and achieve store sales targets and KPIs.Implement sales action plans to improve performance and profitability.Analyse sales and store performance reports and identify trends and opportunities.Control store expenditure and ensure effective cost management.Execute promotions, campaigns, and seasonal changes accurately.Manage shrinkage, markdowns, repricing and stock losses within target Daily Operations/Stock and Risk Management: Opening and locking of store in accordance with the company security proceduresConducting start & end of day reporting and proceduresConducting administration (invoices, pricing, costs, floats & banking, expense control, reconciliations) per company standards and proceduresEnsuring merchandise is offloaded, captured, packed, merchandised & displayed per company policyControlling shrinkageEnsure that OHS standards and Security policies are adhered to at all times Customer Centric approach: Deliver a customer-first culture by always ensuring exceptional service.Attending to all customer service requestsManage customer queries and complaints professionally and resolve issues effectively.Drive customer retention through service excellence and consistent store standards. Visual Merchandising Ensure that VM standards are adhered to and execution of all plans and promotions.Maintain a clean, neat, well-stocked and inviting store environment.Drive promotional execution and seasonal launches, markdown execution is timely and accurate manner.Maintain outstanding floor condition, signage, and displays.Execute customer journey. People Management and Leadership Lead, motivate and inspire the store team to achieve store objectives.Manage performance through coaching, training, corrective action and recognition.Assist with recruitment at a store level according to company policy and procedures.Ensure effective onboarding of all new staff in line with company policies and procedures.Plan staffing requirements, staff leave and ensure effective staff scheduling aligned to trading patterns.Assist with identifying Learning and Development initiatives for employees.
