Line Cook - Job Description

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes according to the restaurant or cruise ship's standards. You will work closely with the culinary team to ensure efficiency, consistency, and safety in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare ingredients, follow recipes, and cook dishes as per menu specifications.
  • Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and quality of all food served.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in the kitchen.
  • Follow food handling and sanitation procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Assist in inventory management and proper storage of ingredients.
Requirements
  • Culinary qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a high-volume or fine-dining kitchen preferred.
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
