Monitors developments and ensures interested parties are informed. Provides effective information services to the firm by supporting employees in locating and obtaining materials across various disciplines and subject matters. Assists with collection of library materials, procurement, system administration, conducting legal research and training library users in effective legal research. Adheres and follows standard operating procedures when utilising all library management systems. Job Description: Administer the processing of new library materials, recalling of items and running reports through the electronic library system.Keep abreast of current developments in practice/sector/jurisdiction to inform users.Manage and compile news and other updates for internal distribution.Research and exploit internal and external information resources to answer legal enquires.Manage subscriptions (serials and looseleafs) to ensure that all active subscription resources are complete and up to date and provide procurement support for new acquisitions.Manage the process of cataloguing, indexing all new information sources and managing daily circulations using the library system.Assist with the maintenance and enhancement of information delivery by capturing relevant information sources, news, journal articles, legislation and case laws through the firm's intranet.Provide regular reference and information services to employees within the firm by providing relevant, complete and accurate information timeously.Provide legal research skills training to new joiners, Candidate Attorneys and other employees.Actively engage in the identification of new materials and liaise with various stakeholders to source the latest electronic and/or hard copies of various books or journals in line with the library's collection guidelines.Participate in special projects and be proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement in the library services.
