Job Description
This position supports a USAID-funded program operating across three districts-Ehlanzeni, Nkangala, and Gert Sibande-in Mpumalanga Province. Led by Pact and supported by mothers2mothers (m2m), the initiative focuses on delivering vital community-based services to children living with HIV (CLHIV), 0 to 20 years old, as well as their families. Working closely with government bodies like the Department of Health and other key partners, this role plays a crucial part in reaching and retaining these vulnerable populations throughout the HIV care continuum. The project's implementation is planned from July 1 to September 15, 2025, with dates potentially subject to adjustment.
Key Performance Areas:
Data capturing:
- Ensure receipt of all monthly and other reporting forms from sites/FM/DF
- Ensure complete and accurate data entry and follow up where there are missing data reporting forms, implement data quality controls
- Participate in the district weekly, monthly/quarterly review process
- Participate in data analysis and drafting of related reports and/or presentations
- Support implementation of the paper-based and electronic client management tools
- Assist the Programme Team as needed including; running data reports to assist with decision making and providing support to site staff through supportive supervision
- Provide training on data capturing and M&E tools
- Participate in periodic research activities and evaluations
Coordination:
- Oversee the district data capturers in data allocation
- Coordinate and consolidate all data challenges for the district
- Coordinate data flow at district level
- Point of contact for all district communication from the MEC, DQA and SI manager
- Ensure all data capturers are following Standard operating procedures
- Monitor performance of each data capturer
Qualifications and Experience:
Matriculation certificate
- Minimum of 2 year data capturing experience
- Basic administrative and computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Statistical software experience I.e. MS Access and Excel
- Basic filing experience
- Fluency in English and another official South African Language
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Possess good analytical and interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to meet reporting deadlines
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and have sensible judgment
- Make a positive contribution to the overall performance of the M & E team
