We are looking for a Lead Civil & Structural Engineer to join a high caliber engineering consulting team delivering complex mining and metals projects. This role is firmly rooted in the consulting EPCM space, where technical leadership, design integrity, and multidisciplinary collaboration are central to success.

Job Responsibilities
  • Leading civil and structural engineering delivery from early studies through detailed design and execution support.
  • Setting technical directions and ensuring engineering solutions are safe, compliant, constructible, and aligned with project objectives.
  • Guiding and mentoring civil and structural engineers and designers to deliver high quality output.
  • Reviewing and approving engineering deliverables, including drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.
  • Coordinating closely with process, mechanical, piping, project management, procurement, and construction advisory teams.
  • Acting as a key technical interface with clients and external stakeholders.
  • Driving value engineering and cost effective design solutions without compromising safety or quality.
  • Supporting project planning through technical input into schedules, resource planning, and man hour estimates.
  • Managing technical risks, change control, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Upholding engineering standards, governance, safety, and sustainability principles.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • 12+ years' experience in structural engineering on mining, steel, concrete, large scale projects.
  • Proven experience within engineering consulting in EPCM environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams and manage complex technical interfaces.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable local and international design codes and regulatory requirements.
  • Professional registration or eligibility for registration, depending on jurisdiction.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively in fast paced, deadline driven environments.
