Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seekingaLabour Relations / Industrial Relations Officerto support a consulting team in delivering day to day IR services across a client base. This is a hands on operational role focused on case management, compliance support, and dispute resolution assistance.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Degree in HR / Industrial Psychology / Law (LLB) or related field
  • 2-3 years' Labour Relations / IR experience
  • Exposure to disciplinary processes and grievance handling
  • Basic CCMA / Bargaining Council exposure (advantageous if more advanced)
  • Understanding of South African labour legislation
Key Responsibilities:

Labour Relations Operations

  • Support disciplinary hearings, grievances, and dismissal processes
  • Provide Labour Relations support to client accounts
  • Assist with drafting policies, contracts, and IR documentation
  • Provide telephonic IR guidance to clients under supervision

Dispute Resolution Support

  • Prepare case files and assist with CCMA / Bargaining Council matters
  • Support representation processes (conciliation and arbitration preparation)
  • Liaise with unions and employer bodies where required

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure accurate filing of IR documentation and case records
  • Assist with labour law compliance tracking and reporting
  • Maintain case databases and supporting documentation

Client Support

  • Provide day-to-day IR support to assigned client base
  • Escalate complex matters to senior consultants
  • Assist with implementation of IR strategies and policies
