Our client in the Logistics Industry, based in Camperdown , KwaZulu-Natal is currently looking to employ a Junior Team Leader to join their team. This is a developmental role for a motivated individual to grow into a Team Leader position, supporting daily logistics operations and assisting with driver management to ensure efficient, on time, and damage free deliveries. Requirements- Matric (Grade 12)
- 1-3 years' experience in logistics, transport, operations, or a strong administrative role
- Exposure to fleet or driver operations - advantageous
- Strong understanding of route planning, fleet utilisation, and driver management
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Understanding of transport regulations and permits
Driver Coordination and Support:
- Assist in managing a team of drivers
- Act as a point of contact for driver queries and operational issues
- Support execution of daily transport instructions
Operational Support:
- Ensure loads are prepared and checked
- Confirm vehicles are fuelled and ready
- Assist in coordinating collections and deliveries
- Help prevent operational delays
Productivity Monitoring:
- Monitor driver performance, activity, and mileage
- Support achievement of daily delivery targets
- Track and report on delivery performance
Route and ETA Management:
- Monitor estimated times of arrival (ETAs)
- Report delays and deviations
- Support adherence to planned routes
Planning Support:
- Work closely with planners to optimise loads and allocations
- Identify inefficiencies and elevate where necessary
Compliance and Reporting:
- Report non deliveries, delays, and driver related issues
- Support enforcement of operational procedures and discipline
KPI Support:
- Assist in achieving on time deliveries
- Support damage free delivery targets

Working Hours and Conditions- Monday to Friday: 07h00 - 17h00
- Alternative Weeks (Shift Rotation):
- Day Shift: 07h00 - 12h00
- Late Shift: 12h00 - 17h00
- Saturday: 07h00 - 12h00
- Closed over Easter Weekend
- Closed over Christmas period
