The laboratory Junior Research Scientist is primarily responsible for the concrete implementation and execution of biology development programs for both products and expansion of the existing portfolio. The work scope spans from the proof-of-concept phase, through the entire product development process, and all the way to product launch. The lab researcher will be responsible for all product development activities within their assigned geography across multiple product categories.

In addition to the lab responsibilities, the Junior Research Scientist should assist the regional sales team in planning, tracking and improving the relevant trials. At the same time, maintain frequent communication with other global R&D labs to learn about and exchange the latest trial data, thereby supporting the regional sales efforts.

• Execute experimental procedures using knowledge of scientific principles, theories and experimental design within the relevant discipline.
• Responsible of the generation and analysis of research data.
• Capable of applying the scientific method to formulate experimental plans and address related R&D challenges.
• Complete summaries and reports for the corresponding experiments/projects.
• Coordinate relevant resources to execute the planned R&D project.
• Plan and manage resources needed to initiate projects to support sales and key customers, being aligned with lab management and other leaders.

• BSc in Chemistry/Formulation science/Polymer science/ BEng Chemical/Process - Honours/MSc advantages
• Proficient in using Windows and Office software as well as statistical analysis software
• Fluency in English is required (Reading, writing and speaking)
• A valid Driver's license with own transport

These skills and experiences are highly desirable; however, they do not preclude exceptions based on an individual's performance history and demonstrated potential.

• 1-2 years' experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated technical competence in specific areas of work
• Good understanding / exposure to a manufacturing environment advantageous
• Excellent understanding of research laboratories, equipment and methodologies
