We are seeking a Junior Data Administrator (Technical Supply) to join our Technical Supply team based in Cape Town.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Junior Data Administrator to support our Technical Supply team in overseeing airline booking performance and content on our online travel platform. This entry-level role involves monitoring system alerts, investigating 1st level booking issues, and ensuring disruptions are identified and escalated efficiently. The ideal candidate is someone interested in data, systems, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Monitoring
    • Monitor system alerts and booking performance to identify issues affecting airline availability or bookings.
    • Detect and promptly elevate booking failures or system irregularities.
  • Investigation & Troubleshooting
    • Perform initial investigations to reproduce and better understand reported issues.
    • Assist in identifying possible causes of booking or pricing problems.
  • Documentation & Tracking
    • Accurately record issues, findings, and system performance data.
    • Maintain organised tracking sheets and operational reports.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with technical, operational, and supplier teams to ensure issues are clearly communicated and resolved efficiently.
    • Classify issues according to severity and impact.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance
    • Support testing activities when new airline deals, pricing updates, or system changes are introduced.
    • Help verify that updates are functioning correctly before release.
    • Reporting & Analysis
      • Maintain reliable reports and trackers to help identify recurring trends and operational improvements.
    Requirements
    • Minimum Requirements
      • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
      • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
      • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
      • Good written communication skills.
      • Advantageous Skills & Experience
        • Previous experience in a support, administration, quality assurance, or data monitoring role.
        • Interest in e-commerce, technology, or online travel platforms.
        • Exposure to travel systems such as Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, or airline booking platforms would be beneficial.

      About the Team

      The Group Technical Supply team is responsible for optimising air content distribution across the Group's unified platform, serving both B2B and B2C clients.

      By managing and enhancing air content distribution channels, the team ensures the availability, accuracy, and competitiveness of air travel information. Through collaboration with airline partners and leveraging technology, the team drives improvements in the customer experience and booking processes.
