Position Summary

Provides custodial services for the Hualapai Market. Typical duties would include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping of floors, maintaining clean restroom, trash collection, and clean public areas. Maintains janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition and use proper safety and health procedures in the use of all chemicals. General maintenance of grounds. Provides quality customer service at all times. Responsible for receiving merchandise, unloading or unpacking it, marking it with codes to be identified and stocking shelves. May involve heavy lifting.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Maintain clean floors by vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors.
  2. Clean, sanitize and restock all supplies in all restroom facilities.
  3. Empty all trash cans, replace liners and maintain clean receptacles, inside and outside of the Market.
  4. Answer visitor/tourists questions, gives directions, share information about Hualapai tourism offerings, Hualapai history and culture.
  5. Clean all windows and doors, counter tops, tables and chairs, fixtures, equipment within the market and outside patio area.
  6. Maintain custodial closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
  7. Maintain custodial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition. Label, dilute and use all chemicals in a proper manner.
  8. Maintain cleanliness of the grounds surrounding the Market.
  9. Receive delivered products and ensure proper amount is delivered and inside each package. Once accepted unload merchandise and mark items with identifying codes as needed and stock shelves with the merchandise.
  10. Unload merchandise and mark with identifying codes, and stock shelves with unpacked and coded items. Insures all items are stored to insure first in, first out (FIFO) to maintain quality of product.
  11. Ensure all labels are clear and visible on shelves.
  12. Replenish inventory throughout the Market.
  13. Replace damaged or missing products.
  14. Work with the cashiers and management team on inventory and orders.
  15. Assist with merchandising of market.
  16. Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Knowledge and Abilities
  1. Ability to physically complete custodial duties such as vacuuming, mopping, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, collecting trash, cleaning windows, and maintenance of grounds.
  2. Basic knowledge of cleaning products and chemicals and ability to learn and follow proper safety and use policies and procedures.
  3. Ability to routinely walk, stand, bend and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  4. Ability to work in a team environment, multi-task and establish and maintain positive working relationships. Good client/customer service skills and the ability to work independently as well as in support of the group effort.
  5. Ability to accept delivered products and ensure proper amount is delivered and inside each package.
  6. Ability to unload merchandise and mark items with identifying codes as needed and stock shelves with the merchandise.
  7. Ability to insure back stock is brought out to maintain stock levels on merchandise shelves and insuring FIFO is followed.
Qualifications
  1. Experience with or ability to learn janitorial and stocking duties.
  2. High School Diploma or GED.
  3. Good oral communication skills.
  4. Ability to read and understand detailed labels and directions.
  5. Customer Service experience preferred.
  6. Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.
Working Conditions

Position requires ability to work indoors as well as in outdoor environment occasionally. Must be able to routinely walk, stand, bend and carry items weighing up to 75 lbs. as part of duties.

Must be able to work varying schedules, weekends and holidays.
