A fast-growing, South African-based Practice Management Software company is seeking a motivated Internal Sales Development Representative to support its expansion into the Australian market. This role is ideal for an ambitious early-career professional looking to build a strong foundation in sales within a structured, high-performance environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and engaging potential clients, generating qualified leads, and supporting the sales pipeline through proactive outreach. The role serves as the first point of contact with prospective customers and plays a critical part in driving revenue growth.
- Working Hours: 04:00 - 12:00 (aligned to Australian market)
- Location: Sandton, JHB - Office based role
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Research and identify potential clients within the Australian market
- Conduct outbound outreach via calls, email, and LinkedIn
- Generate new business opportunities through consistent prospecting efforts
- Engage with prospects to understand their needs and assess fit
- Qualify leads based on defined criteria and business needs
- Schedule meetings and hand over qualified opportunities to the sales team
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system
- Track and report on pipeline activity and performance metrics
- Work closely with internal teams to align outreach with broader sales and marketing strategies
- Provide feedback on lead quality and campaign effectiveness
- Contribute to improving outreach and qualification processes
Market Insight
- Stay informed on industry trends and developments within the Australian market
- Identify new opportunities and share insights to support business growth
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) advantageous
- Comfortable using LinkedIn and digital communication tools
- Basic understanding of sales outreach and lead generation tools
- Strong interest in sales and business development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confident, professional, and able to build rapport quickly
- Highly organised with strong time management skills
- Resilient, self-motivated, and target-driven
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability
Bachelor's degree or equivalent 3-year qualification (Business, Marketing or related)
0-2 years' experience in sales, customer-facing, or similar roles (internships included)
Exposure to B2B environments is advantageous
