Job Description

The Internal Salesperson is responsible for servicing and supporting existing customers to meet or exceed monthly sales targets, while consistently enhancing customer satisfaction. This role works closely with sales colleagues, operations, and technical teams to grow customer base, support external sales efforts, and contribute to overall client retention and business expansion.

Key Responsibilities 1. Customer Relationship Management & Service Delivery
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by responding promptly, efficiently, and courteously.
  • Clearly understand customer needs and requirements to offer effective solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to expand accounts through coordinated service offerings.
  • Follow up on quotes and sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
  • Arrange demo equipment and product samples when required.
  • Identify trends in customer satisfaction/dissatisfaction and communicate feedback to the team.
  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing timely product and technical information.
  • Determine customer requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions.
  • Suggest alternative products where beneficial (cost, availability, specifications).
  • Prepare and present quotes aligned with procedures and profitability guidelines.
  • Increase sales and average order values through cross selling, up selling, and add on sales.
  • Source new opportunities through inbound leads, outbound calls, and email outreach.
  • Educate customers on product features, benefits, and terminology to enhance satisfaction and sales outcomes.
  • Set up project files upon receipt of customer orders.
3. Order Processing & Administration
  • Accurately process orders, quotes, returns, and customer transactions.
  • Provide precise information on stock availability (in house and supplier stock).
  • Communicate shipment dates, expected delivery times, and update customers regularly.
  • Monitor scheduled shipments, follow up proactively, and send ETA/Backlog reports.
  • Maintain professionalism in all communication with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and efficient internal communication regarding customer updates and quote progress.
4. Team Collaboration & Professional Conduct
  • Work collaboratively with the sales team, Technical/Operations Manager, and External Sales to ensure steady growth and client retention.
  • Attend sales meetings, vendor training sessions, trade shows, and online webinars to remain current on product knowledge and industry trends.
  • Uphold company policies, including responsible use of personal devices during work hours.
  • Present a professional image at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate initiative, strong time management, and commitment to company goals.
  • Submit weekly sales call sheets with detailed client feedback.
Working Hours
  • Office hours: 08:00 - 17:00 (1 hour lunch break).

  • Strong computer literacy and administrative ability.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Strong time management and work ethic.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • 2-5 years sales experience with a proven track record of meeting monthly targets.
  • Own reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.
