About the roleAs an Inside Sales Consultant, you will guide new and sometimes existing merchants through a consultative sales journey, by understanding their unique business needs and challenges and then activating the right Yoco solution for them. This role is focused on driving growth through solution-based selling, tailored solutions, and a smooth activation experience that sets merchants up for long-term success.
What you will be doing- Build a quick and accurate understanding of each merchant's operations, goals, and pain points through structured and effective telephonic, chat and email engagement.
- Accurately diagnose merchant needs to ensure strong solution fit and confidence before purchase.
- Convert opportunities by positioning Yoco as a complete business solution, not just a payment tool.
- Build, manage, and convert a healthy pipeline of inbound and outbound opportunities to exceed sales targets.
- Ensure merchants are fully enabled to activate quickly and use Yoco products effectively.
- Capture and translate merchant insights into actionable improvements for product, sales, and messaging.
- 3+ years' experience in telephonic and digital/chat-based sales with a proven track record of hitting targets (essential)
- Current experience in SME / SaaS / fintech sectors and an understanding of the fintech ecosystem (essential)
- Demonstrated consultative selling ability, diagnosing needs and positioning appropriate solutions
- You have owned the full sales cycle from lead through to close and successful customer activation
- Strong pipeline and CRM management, with high discipline and accurate forecasting
- Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex solutions into clear business value
- Commercially driven and execution-focused, balancing conversion speed with quality outcomes
