Introduction

Picup, our system integration partner that specialises in last-mile delivery and online management software seeks an Infield Supervisor for George and Cape Town.

The Account Support Coordinator is responsible for ensuring continuity, stability, and operational execution across client accounts during periods when designated Account Managers are unavailable. The role provides structured operational cover, coordinating day-to-day account activities, monitoring SLA performance, and managing issue resolution to ensure uninterrupted service delivery. While Account Managers retain primary ownership of individual client relationships, the Account Support Coordinator operates across multiple accounts, maintaining sufficient operational knowledge to step in seamlessly during leave, absences, peak demand periods, or elevated operational risk. This role is internally focused, execution-driven, and critical to maintaining service consistency, internal alignment, and client confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:

  • Supervise a team of Infield Supervisors responsible for;
  • Conducting store inspections with store managers
  • Driver inspections and assessments with Independent Contractors
  • Driver supply based on the forecast provided by the planning team
  • Driver performance
  • Driver branding
  • Driver compliance such as registered bike or vehicle, drivers license etc. (authenticity of the required paperwork)

Provide leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the team operates efficiently and effectively.

HR Administration:

  • Manage all HR administrative tasks related to the Infield Supervisor team, including training and scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Address any employee relations issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

KPI Tracking & Analysis:

  • Develop and implement KPIs to measure the performance of the Infield Supervisors.
  • Monitor and analyze KPI data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate performance metrics and insights to senior management.

Daily Inspections & Reporting:

  • Oversee the planning and execution of daily inspections to stores and driver locations.
  • Ensure that Infield Supervisors complete all required reports accurately and on time.
  • Review inspection reports for quality, consistency, and compliance with company standards.

Process Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall effectiveness of field operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 or Equavalant
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (not required but beneficial)
  • Own Vehicle (Car)
  • Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in operations or field management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally as needed.
