IFRS Accounting Consultant - Global & Group Expertise in South Africa

Are you an IFRS expertwith deep experience in global and group-level accounting? We're looking for a strong, independent professionalwho's client facing,systems-savvyand excited about the future of AI and automationin finance.

Key responsibilities
  • Take ownership of a portfolio of SME clients,
  • Work independently from start to finish, from onboarding to delivery to billing client.
  • Lead and support financial statement preparationunder IFRS
  • Collaborate on system improvementsand automation initiatives
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy in complex reporting environments
  • Accurate processing of:
    • Sales and purchase invoices
    • Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
    • Journals, accruals and prepayments
  • VAT preparation and submissions
  • Maintaining clean, review-ready ledgers at all times
  • Managing tasks, deadlines and workflows through Xero Practice Manager
  • Liaising professionally with clients to resolve queries efficiently
  • Supporting month-end and year-end processes
  • Working in line with internal controls, compliance standards and best practice
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting
  • SAIPA/ AGA with Articles experience (preferred)
  • Hold a Xero Advisor Certificate
  • Proven experience within an Accounting practice environment
  • Minimum of3 years experiencepreparing management reports and B/S recons
  • Professional manner, comfortable being Client, in a dynamic consulting environment
  • Solid experience in IFRS accountingandfinancial reporting
  • Strong command of ERP systemsand financial consolidation tools
  • A proactive, self-driven mindsetwith attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm for AI, automation, and digital transformation in finance
