Job Description

Our client, a prominent and leading brand, is seeking an experienced HR and Payroll Manager to join their team in North End, Port Elizabeth.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in HR, Payroll Management, or a relevant field.

Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of South African labour law and payroll compliance.

Competent in SAGE, MS Office, Paypace, and Time & Attendance software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and statutory compliance.
  • Oversee HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and wellness.
  • Draft, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with labour legislation.
  • Provide guidance on remuneration structuring, benefits, and incentive frameworks.
  • Ensure audit-proof documentation and reporting across HR and payroll functions.
  • Conduct compliance inspections with PSIRA, Bargaining Council, and Department of Labour.
  • Develop and manage HR/payroll staff, fostering accountability, collaboration, and growth.
  • Assist with the annual financial audit, preparing accurate HR and payroll evidence.
  • Manage skills development and employment equity initiatives, ensuring compliant reporting and workforce diversity.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with staff, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Champion employee wellbeing and foster a positive workplace culture.
