HR Admin Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and organised HR Admin Assistant to support the human resources function of our UK-based clients. In this fully remote role, you will assist with a wide range of HR administrative tasks - from managing employee records and onboarding new starters to coordinating recruitment processes and handling HR queries. Key Responsibilities- Maintain and update employee records, contracts, and HR databases with a high degree of accuracy
- Coordinate end-to-end onboarding processes for new employees including documentation and inductions
- Assist with recruitment administration - posting adverts, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates
- Respond to employee HR queries via email and messaging platforms in a professional and timely manner
- Support the preparation and distribution of HR documents including offer letters, contracts, and policies
- Track employee leave, attendance, and absence records and flag discrepancies to management
- Assist with payroll administration by collating relevant data and liaising with the payroll team
- Support HR projects and initiatives such as engagement surveys, performance reviews, and policy updates
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an HR administration or people operations role
- Solid understanding of HR processes and best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- High attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or Google Workspace
- Experience with HR information systems (HRIS) such as BambooHR, HiBob, or similar is advantageous
- A proactive, self-driven attitude with excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated, quiet home workspace
- A reliable laptop or desktop computer (Windows or Mac)
- Stable internet connection with a minimum speed of 20 Mbps
- Backup power solution (UPS or generator) for load shedding
- A quiet, professional workspace suitable for remote work
- R18,000 - R28,000 per month depending on experience (paid in ZAR)
- Fully remote work - operate from anywhere in South Africa
- Monday to Friday schedule aligned with UK business hours
