Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Ensures that work areas are clean and tidy prior to opening, during service and at closing times (this includes the inside and outside of the building as well as the car park area) thus ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Ensures that floors are swept, mopped, scrubbed and/or vacuumed, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Ensures that refuse is gathered and disposed of and that bins are emptied, washed or sanitized and replaced with refuse bags to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Ensures that toilets are cleaned to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Cleans, fills up and maintains all machines such as the BIBO, coffee machines, etc., to ensure that the machines are in good working order for team members to use.
  • Ensures all beverage stations are fully stocked at all times to ensure consumables are readily available for team members to use.
  • Ensures that service areas are straightened and tidy during peak and quiet periods to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Ensures that the use of cleaning products is appropriate, that the correct products are used and that wastage is minimised.
  • Requests replenishment of cleaning products and supplies from the Housekeeping Supervisor/Receptionist/Office Administrator before they run out, ensuring supplies are readily available for use.
  • Declares breakage to the Office Manager to ensure that replacements can be obtained timely.
  • Cleans the office air con filters weekly.
  • Ensures that all tables and chairs in the areas are maintained (seat covers are monitored, and replacements requested as needed) to keep furniture in good working condition.
  • Sets up boardrooms, meeting rooms, training rooms, event areas, etc., prior to sessions and cleans up after the session to return the environment to normal working order.
  • Completes daily tasks rosters and submits them to the Receptionist and/or the Office Administrator to ensure regular updates are shared.
  • Adhoc duties.
Qualifications

Job specification:

  • Matric (Advantageous).
  • 3 years relevant experience.
