The GM has the responsibility of managing client relationships, Operations, commercials and the profitability of the agency. Job Description: Key Aspects of the role: Creating and implementing growth strategies with the Managing Director / dentsu SA CEO Supervising employees and other managers Create quarterly and annual sales forecasts presented to the MF/FD Creating and managing budgets including all process ensuring acceptable revenue achievement Create strategic proposals to promote services Oversee recruitment and training Setting key performance goals Business Development Developing marketing strategies and new formats / opportunities Hiring employees and managing the STR on new requests Overseeing daily operations and managing timeously of all chase reports Suggest improvements for employees Complete oversight and accountability for financial performance and adherence to financial processes Objectives of this role Develop strategic plan for optimized productivity Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivational work environment, and implementing innovative changes Adhere to company standards for excellence and quality Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations, assign weekly performance goals and ensure their completion, and accomplish your own goals Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve objectives for sales, profitability, and market share Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans Monitor adherence to commercial processes across all team leads weekly and address any non-compliance timeously Report commercial performance to the MD / dentsu SA CEO monthly Provide Commercial Business Partner, MD / dentsu SA CEO with accurate quarterly reforecasting Delegate responsibilities to the best-qualified employees and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of all involved Escalate any issues or concerns to the Managing Director / dentsu SA CEO timeously Required skills and qualifications Proven success in a managerial role Strong decision-making ability Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills Proven ability to develop and achieve financial plans and proven track record of revenue growth and profit maintenance Ability to motivate and lead employees, and hold them accountable Strong working knowledge of operational procedures Strong network within the creative industry Preferred skills and qualifications Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business management or related field Experience in conducting performance evaluations Working knowledge of human-resources processes 8-15 years experience in a similar role in a Creative Agency Strong background in managing cross functioning teams Calm, methodical and solutions-driven mindset Location: Sandton Brand: Dentsu Creative Time Type: Full time Contract Type: Permanent
