Live-in Position
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a versatile and experienced Front of House / Assistant Manager for a luxury safari lodge in the Greater Kruger area. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional to support lodge operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and relieve the Lodge Manager when required.
The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of lodge operations, including guest services, housekeeping, laundry, ordering, and basic accounting, while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lodge Manager with all aspects of lodge operations
- Oversee front of house activities, ensuring a seamless guest experience
- Manage housekeeping, laundry, and general lodge maintenance as required
- Support ordering, stock control, and basic accounting tasks
- Act as the Manager's deputy, relieving them during leave periods
- Ensure compliance with lodge operational standards and guest service expectations
- Motivate and manage staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment
- Address guest queries, requests, and feedback promptly and professionally
- Participate in training and development of lodge staff
- Monitor daily operations to ensure smooth service delivery
Requirements:
- Proven experience in lodge operations, hospitality management, or a similar role
- Strong interpersonal and people management skills
- Ability to work independently and make operational decisions
- Knowledge of housekeeping, laundry, and general lodge procedures
- Basic accounting and administrative skills
- Flexibility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, reliable, and guest service-oriented
- Available to work on a 3/1 week cycle
- Immediate availability preferred, ideally from 1 April
