Fresh Manager

Bidfood is New Zealand's leading foodservice distributor, proudly supplying quality food and related products to customers nationwide. We're currently seeking an experienced Fresh Manager to lead our Produce Department at the Queenstown branch.

This is a VERY hands on leadership role suited to someone who takes pride in the following:

• Selling your fruit and vegetable passion
• Team management and development
• Delivering an excellent customer experience from crate to plate, no moldy lemons.
• Achieving targets and is personally driven by results

You will manage the day to day operation of the produce department, managing the day and mid shift teams, while maintaining high standards of quality, presentation and food safety. The role involves leading, training, and supporting team members, as well as managing stock levels, ordering, waste and most importantly, sales support to ensure strong commercial performance.

This role is very varied as you will spend time on the floor of the warehouse with your team (leading by example), on the computer working through your admin and chatting in person with our customers on sales visits.

We are looking for someone who genuinely loves Brussel Sprouts and business and is keen to use this passion to grow our produce department. You will have proven experience in people management, along with strong leadership and communication skills. You must love achieving targets and have a strong commercial insight. You will bring a hands on, reliable work ethic, a genuine passion for fresh produce and customer service and the ability to perform well in a fast paced environment.
