Luxury Private Game Reserve Grahamstown
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and highly organised Front of House Manager for a luxury private game reserve based in Grahamstown. This live-in position is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a dynamic bush environment and is confident managing both guest-facing operations and logistical coordination.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all reception operations, including guest check-in and check-out processes
- Manage safari shop operations, including sales, stock control and guest retail experience
- Coordinate reception logistics, including guest movements and transport arrangements
- Ensure smooth daily operational flow across all front-of-house functions
- Liaise closely with lodge teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Assist in coordinating safari schedules and guest activities
- Provide relief support at lodges when required, including shift coverage
- Maintain high standards of guest service and hospitality delivery
- Handle guest queries, requests and concerns professionally and efficiently
- Support overall operational efficiency across front-of-house departments
- Previous experience in front of house, reception or hospitality management
- Experience within a lodge or safari environment advantageous
- Strong organisational and logistical coordination skills
- Experience in guest relations within a luxury setting preferred
- Ability to manage multiple operational areas simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible and willing to work shifts, including lodge relief duties
- Professional, well-presented and guest-focused approach
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Hands-on and adaptable approach to operations
- Strong leadership and organisational abilities
