Financial Manager

This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the CEO, offering a unique opportunity to shape the financial backbone of a rapidly expanding manufacturing business based in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town. You will step into a hands-on leadership position, responsible not just for reporting, but for actively designing and refining the operational procedures that drive efficiency and ensure robust financial controls from the ground up. This role is perfect for a seasoned financial professional ready to move beyond maintenance and into strategic development, ensuring compliance, optimizing revenue recognition, and leading the finance function within an innovative engineering environment.

• Degree in Finance. CA(SA) or CIMA preferable
• Minimum of 8 years in a senior accounting or senior management role within a medium to large organization.
• 8+ years of proven manufacturing experience, including deep understanding of ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft NAV, Syspro, Sage, SAP, or equivalent).
• Experience preparing annual financial statements and managing company taxation (VAT/PAYE).
• Proven working experience with cross-border transactions and statutory payment controls.
• Experience in BEE Management contribution and compliance.
• Demonstrated experience in applying, implementing, and maintaining key internal controls.
• Willingness to be hands-on, driving financial control management changes down to the base operational level.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, deadline-driven, and proven ability to lead and manage a team under pressure.
• Previous experience within the lighting sector, particularly related to retail and projects.
