Job Purpose

To expand the portfolio of clients and successfully implement strategic partners within the region, while maintaining consistent sales growth and delivering ongoing support to existing customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing clients and strategic partners by providing ongoing support, product information, and guidance.
  • Conduct regular site visits to clients and partners to ensure service delivery standards are met.
  • Identify and engage potential clients within commercial environments (e.g., office parks, complexes, business developments) and present relevant solutions to stakeholders.
  • Generate and analyse sales reports using SAP, providing structured feedback and call reports to the Branch Manager.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver product training sessions and presentations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing, and product developments, and provide feedback to internal stakeholders.
  • Address and resolve client product-related queries, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings and industry developments.
  • Support the technical team with occasional site visits relating to product failures or installation issues.
  • Classify and manage strategic partners based on defined qualifying criteria.
  • Identify growth opportunities within strategic partner networks and support their development.
  • Contribute to strategic partner activities including financial management, marketing initiatives, training, and regional growth strategies.
  • Assist with ad hoc duties such as stocktakes and deliveries when required.

Functional / Technical Skills
  • Proven sales experience including negotiation and promotional activities
  • Technical aptitude (electronic and/or mechanical understanding)
  • Proficiency in MS Office and exposure to ERP systems (SAP advantageous)
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Willingness to work overtime when required
Minimum Requirements
  • Matric (Grade 12) with a solid understanding of electronic and/or mechanical equipment
  • 2-3 years' experience in a technical sales environment with a proven track record
  • Sound knowledge of the electronic security industry
  • Formal sales training (advantageous)
  • Basic understanding of small to medium business operations
  • Experience working with SAP (advantageous)
