To take a technical lead role in the delivery of digital transformation initiatives, operating as a core member of a Both& Delivery Pod. This role owns the end-to-end engineering of digital solutions, from facilitating process discovery and requirements gathering through to configuring, developing, and deploying scalable low-code and no-code technology solutions. The Digital Engineer is equally accountable for the adoption of what they build, ensuring that technology delivers measurable ROI for clients and for Both&. This role sits at the intersection of Process (30%), Technology (30%), People (25%), and Financial (15%) accountability, and candidates must be genuinely capable and motivated across all four dimensions.

Positions available in both Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Skill Requirements

  • Strong process mapping and business analysis capability
  • Proficiency in no-code platforms (e.g. Zoho, ServiceNow, Odoo, Notion, Hubspot, or similar) - required
  • Solid understanding of data architecture and data management principles
  • Data analysis skills, with the ability to derive insights and inform decisions
  • Systems thinking and design thinking capability
  • Strong research and independent problem-solving skills
  • UI/UX design sensibility - able to build solutions that are intuitive and human-centred
  • Understanding of agile ways of working and sprint-based delivery
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering or Computer Science only
  • Proven track record of building, automating, or digitising real-world business processes
  • Related work experience is non-negotiable
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement
  • Alignment with an idea meritocracy culture - you engage with logic and evidence, not ego or hierarchy
