Introduction

We are looking to recruit a UI/UX Designer to join the Customer Experience team within Marketing. This role will report to the Customer Experience Manager.

Job Purpose:

To design all UI and UX interfaces or assets across the CX design process, prepare final assets for developer handover, maintains Design System and to create a user-friendly interface (customer journeys) that enable customers to navigate simply and effectively across our digital platforms (web, app, email, other digital assets).

Job Objectives:

  • To support the CX Manager in delivering digital touchpoint experiences that our customers engage with
  • To support the CX manager in developing customer journey strategies that consistently improve the customer experience for Clicks and drive a customer centric culture throughout the business
  • To manage all UI and UX design interfaces across the CX design process
  • To prepare all UI and UX design changes
  • Assist in user testing across all UX business projects across the Clicks brand
  • To analyse CX and UX data to inform our UX design process
  • To work closely with the UX Researcher in creating user-centred designs by understanding business requirements, and user feedback
  • To identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
  • To collaborate effectively with key marketing stakeholders and design team members

Job related knowledge:

  • User testing research (applied)
  • Analyse research findings for a better understanding of user insight (applied)
  • Good understanding of analytics and the UX design process (applied)
  • Good understanding what motivates a customer (applied)
  • Experience as a UI/UX Designer (applied)
  • Previous UX research (particularly retail)
  • Understanding of HTML and CSS

Job related skills:

  • Analytical thinking : ability to read user and market research findings using logical and scientific reasoning (competent)
  • Written and verbal communication (competent)
  • Ability to conduct research (competent)
  • Essential: Minimum of 2 years' experience in user interface design (desirable in UX retail/FMCG marketing)
  • Desirable: 3 years' experience in user interface design (desirable in UX retail/FMCG marketing)

Education:

  • Essential: Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in media, marketing, research, digital marketing (or relevant discipline)
  • Desirable: Degree/Diploma in Design, Fine Arts, Engineering or related field
