A leading manufacturing business in the FMCG sector is seeking a highly experienced Deputy Chief Operating Officer to join its executive leadership team. This is a strategic and hands on leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, profitability, continuous improvement, and business growth across multiple functions including manufacturing, supply chain, SHEQ, logistics, sales support, and commercial operations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Finance, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 12 years' experience within an FMCG / manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the EDIBLE OILS field a definite advantage
  • Proven senior leadership experience managing multi functional operations
  • Strong understanding of production planning, quality systems, supply chain, and commercial drivers
  • Experience in lean manufacturing, process improvement, and operational optimisation
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, costing, margins, and profitability analysis
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem solving skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution ability
  • Results driven and deadline focused
  • Highly analytical and commercially minded
  • Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to operate in a fast paced, evolving environment
Responsibilities
  • Oversee day to day operations across production, quality, supply chain, SHEQ, logistics, and commercial functions
  • Improve plant efficiencies, productivity, OEE, and cost controls across operations
  • Lead strategic execution of business plans, KPI alignment, and performance management
  • Drive process optimisation, automation, live reporting dashboards, and data driven decision making
  • Manage inventory controls, procurement efficiencies, demand planning, and warehousing performance
