Data Administrator (3M FTC)
Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented Data Administrator to support a focused CRM data cleanup initiative within HubSpot. This role suits someone comfortable working with structured datasets at scale who can deliver accurate, methodical work independently against clearly defined priorities. You'll help improve the reliability of our sales and marketing data by resolving duplicates, correcting ownership inconsistencies and standardising key segmentation fields across the platform.
This work directly supports forecasting accuracy, reporting reliability and segmentation across our global revenue operations environment.
The challengeImprove the quality and reliability of HubSpot data by resolving historical duplication, ownership inconsistencies and formatting issues across thousands of CRM records within a defined 3 month delivery window.
Where you'll workThis role will be based in Cape Town. You'll be part of our global team, collaborating with colleagues and serving customers across the UK, USA, Australia, South Africa, and beyond. Our hybrid approach offers flexibility with regular team connection in our Cape Town office.
Day to day this role will- Identify and resolve duplicate contact and company records within HubSpot
- Correct ownership inconsistencies across contacts, companies and pipeline objects
- Clean and standardise segmentation and formatting fields across thousands of records
- Backfill missing data required for reporting and targeting accuracy
- Update workflow alert routing to improve visibility of errors across the RevOps team
- Support documentation of controls to prevent recurrence of data quality issues
- Flag inconsistencies, edge cases and recurring data risks during cleanup work
- Work independently against defined weekly cleanup targets
- Maintain high levels of accuracy across bulk updates and record corrections
- Collaborate with the RevOps team to support forecasting and reporting reliability initiatives
- Experience working with CRM systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics
- Experience working with structured datasets in Excel or Google Sheets
- Previous experience performing CRM data cleanup or record maintenance work
- Confidence exporting, cleaning and re importing CRM datasets
- Strong attention to detail when working across large volumes of records
- Ability to identify patterns and inconsistencies within structured data
- Comfortable working independently against delivery focused priorities
- Clear communication when flagging data issues or edge cases
- Ability to contribute quickly with minimal ramp time in a short term contract role
- Direct HubSpot experience
- Experience supporting RevOps, Sales Ops or Marketing Ops teams
- Experience resolving CRM ownership logic issues
- Experience working with pipeline or segmentation datasets
- Experience supporting large scale deduplication initiatives
