Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly.

  • Deliver meals and drinks efficiently, adhering to safety and hygiene protocols.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, ensuring tables are properly set before service.

  • Handle guest concerns or requests with a customer-first approach and escalat as needed.

  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and high-quality service.

  • Comply with shipboard safety procedures, international maritime regulations, and company service standards.

  • Assist with onboard events, special dinners, or private parties as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; formal hospitality training is a plus.

  • Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Spanish, German, French) are an advantage.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive and positive attitude.

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume environment.

Experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant, hotel, or cruise environment.

  • Previous international hospitality experience is highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with fine dining, buffet service, or banqueting is an added advantage.

Working Hours
  • Rotational shifts based on cruise schedules (including weekends and public holidays).

  • Standard duty: 8-10 hours/day, 6 days a week.

  • Contract durations vary between 6-9 months, with possible extension based on performance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of international food and beverage service standards.

  • Ability to adapt to diverse cultural backgrounds and guest preferences.

  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays and service equipment.

  • Team player with a strong sense of responsibility and discipline.

  • Awareness of basic safety and hygiene protocols aboard ships.
