An established short-term insurance brokerage is looking to appoint a dynamic and socially confident Commercial Insurance Growth Specialist to focus on commercial insurance business development.
This is not a desk-bound sales role. The position is designed for someone who thrives in real-world interaction, enjoys meeting new people, and is comfortable building relationships in business and social environments.
The successful candidate will spend a significant amount of time in the field, meeting:
- Business owners
- Decision-makers
- Referral partners
The brokerage services both commercial and personal lines insurance, however, the core focus of this role is growing the commercial client base through:
- Networking
- Relationship building
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively generate new commercial insurance opportunities through networking and relationship building
- Identify and engage with business owners, directors, and decision-makers
- Build and maintain strong referral networks within the local business community
- Attend:
- Business networking events
- Industry functions
- Community gatherings
- Develop relationships with professionals such as:
- Accountants
- Attorneys
- Property professionals
- Other referral partners
- Maintain a strong presence in business and social circles
- Arrange and attend meetings with prospective commercial clients
- Introduce the brokerage's insurance solutions to potential clients
- Work closely with internal underwriting and support teams
- Build long-term client relationships for repeat business and referrals
- Maintain consistent field activity and brand presence in the market
