At PetSure, our Claims Advisors support pet parents during critical pet health moments by delivering accurate, empathetic and timely claims decisions. No prior insurance experience is required - our structured training programme will fully prepare you for success. This role operates on a five day working week post probation and supports hybrid ways of working, combining time in our Parktown office with working from home. In addition, some night shift work will be required, which is performed entirely from home. Shift rostering is managed fairly and thoughtfully, with a strong focus on sustainability and wellbeing.

You'll be joining a passionate, collaborative and pet loving team who care deeply about customer experience and living PetSure's purpose.

What you'll be doing:
  • Apply your veterinary nursing expertise to assess and manage insurance claims accurately
  • Take ownership of complex claims, managing them through to completion within delegated authorities
  • Deliver a compassionate, professional and positive claims experience for customers, their pets and veterinary clinics
  • Communicate with pet parents and vets via phone, email and digital platforms
  • Collaborate closely with Claims Assessors and other internal teams to ensure right first time outcomes
  • Assess and support GapOnly claims in real time, liaising with clinic staff and internal colleagues
  • Provide technical veterinary and claims advice to other areas of the business
  • Manage workload effectively while meeting quality and turnaround expectations
What you'll need to be successful:
  • A formal tertiary qualification in Veterinary Nursing
  • Clinical experience within a veterinary environment
  • A customer centric, empathetic and professional approach
  • Intermediate Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office skills
  • Proven reliability and adaptability, with comfort working across hybrid day shifts and night shifts
  • A respectful, collaborative working style, aligned to our culture and values
  • Experience in insurance or claims (advantageous)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English when working with global teams, customers and partners
