Catering Supervisor

A vacancy exists for a Catering Supervisor based at Life Wilgers Hospital, reporting to the Catering Manager.

• Co-ordination of patient menus and special patient diets.
• Stock control, stock issuing and stock receiving.
• Serving and portion control.
• Quality control.
• Supervision during food preparations.
• Hygiene and safety.
• Training and development of staff.
• Budget control.
• Good knowledge of SHEQ and Health and safety requirements.
• Knowledge of Digital menu ordering system.

• Matric / Grade 12.
• At least 5 years' experience in Healthcare catering.
• Computer literate (MS Word and Excel).
• Knowledge of Digital menu ordering system.
• Background of food preparation and special diet requirements; must have in-depth knowledge of therapeutic diets.
• Must be willing to work shifts.
• Good people skills and communication.
• Strong leadership qualities, able to lead a shift.
